CARING FOR YOUR NEW TATTOO


The first few weeks after a new tattoo are the most important. Unless otherwise instructed by your doctor or artist, we recommend following these aftercare instructions. Remember that there are risks involved with tattoos including: Dizziness, allergic reactions, scarring, and infection. You may experience some itching and pealing.


Days 1 - 7

  1. -ALWAYS wash your hands before touching your tattoo!

  2. -After 2 hours remove your bandage.

  3. -Clean area with antibacterial soap ( do not scrub with brush or towel )

  4. -Pat dry with clean towel or paper towel.

  5. -Apply a thin layer of unscented lotion or Aquaphor (can be found at most drugstores)


Do’s

  1. -Stay out of the sun your tattoo is healed.

  2. -Always apply sun block to protect your tattoo.

  3. -Consult a doctor or notify Bad Apple Tattoo Co. if you have excessive swelling,redness,yellow or green discharge, or fever.


Don’ts

  1. -NEVER scratch or pick at your tattoo.

  2. -Don’t use peroxide or alcohol on your tattoo.

  3. -Don’t sit or soak in a hot tub or bath.



-Consult a physician and notify the establishment if you experience excessive swelling, redness, yellow or green discharge, or fever.
